久しぶりに作品を載せます。

これは３年生の時にコンペに出した家具のデザインです。

「外食空間の原点に立ち返ったリノベーション」というテーマに対し僕はカフェで使うベンチシートの家具を提案しました。

僕は日本人にとってカフェのような空間の原点は、昔のお団子屋さんの赤いベンチや、縁側でお茶を飲むような感じに近いのではと考え、その時の人の位置関係が「対面」ではなく「横並び」である事に着目しました。日本人は外国人に比べて、目を見て話さないとよく言われます。横並びはそんな日本人にぴったりのコミュニケーションスタイルだったのかもしれません。その時のカタチを取り入れれば、今のカフェにもより日本人にあったスタイルが提案できるのではと思いこのベンチを提案しました。

くの字に曲がっているのは１人でくるお客さんのためです。

真ん中の木の部分は飲み物を置く所です。

このデザインで僕は、生まれて初めて賞（ファーニチャー部門賞）を頂く事ができ、なんとラッキーなことに実物制作までして頂きました。

そしてデザインでお金を貰うという、働いてる人にとっては普通かもしれませんが、僕にとっては強烈な体験をしました。

なんだかんだ、あれからこの時より大きな賞を貰えてないので、そろそろこれを超えて行かなければなりません。

This furniture, "winch" is a bench for a cafeteria in Japan.

Lately, the interior design of the cafeteria in Japan is almost same as things are used in Europe or the US. However, I designed it to much with japanese people considering japanese culture.

Originally, japanese people prefer to have a distance such as siting next to each other when they talk rather than talking to face to face.

"winch" gives the flexibility and the comfortable distances to the users by its unique shape and the table at the middle. If they are in the close relationship, they can sit inside bit like a "face to face". If they are not, they can sit outside and keep the personal distances. What's more, to combine more than 2 of "winch", they can suit to any other circumstances,such as parties, small get together, casual appointments, and more
